Publishing books as a community.

We have several pilot projects underway. Check back to see as we add new projects.

The Appalachian Memory Project (AMP) pilot program will utilize the space at the Spring Creek Community Center (SCCC) and others around the county to collect and archive oral histories and digital images from Madison County and Haywood County residents. The project includes the creation of a training program to develop skills for others to help gather and preserve personal histories and images, with the ultimate goal of making these materials available in a public online archive and in the publication of a community memory book.

With the Panic Memory Project we are in the very early stages of trying to organize a grassroots effort focused on creating a digital database and book around the 40th Anniversary of Widespread Panic in 2026. We are seeking to work with band historians and fans to tell the story of the band and create a lasting archive to the work they have done over the past 40 years. If you are interested to be part of the project please contact us to ensure you receive more information as this project grows.
